New Field Guide Now Available

The much anticipated new book, A Naturalist's Guide to the Odonata of Ohio by Dave McShaffrey, MaLisa Spring, and Jim McCormac is now available for purchase on Amazon.

Designed with the non-specialist in mind, this book offers an introduction to 170 damselfly and dragonfly species that have been found in Ohio, including a guide to their identification, details about their behavior and life histories. Photographs, taken by a number of Ohio oda watchers, illustrate the male and female of each species, as well as the different color forms of many variable odonates. Maps of recent records based on recently updated survey data surveys show where each species may be found in Ohio and how their distributions have changed over time.
